This is a unique opportunity to join a business delivering core capabilities for National defense. You will work within a fast-paced team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence.We are seeking a skilled Linux System Administrator to support the installation, configuration, security, and ongoing operation of Linux- and Windows-based systems in a secure, mission-focused environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across infrastructure, security, and operations teams.ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows workstations and servers in accordance with defined baselinesImplement and maintain system security, hardening, integrity monitoring, backups, and auditingPerform patch and package management, including installation and maintenance of third-party softwareMonitor system performance, availability, and health; troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issuesSupport and maintain virtualized environments (e.g., VMware)Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, switches, and storage systemsConfigure and support networking in mixed Linux and Windows environmentsApply DISA STIGs and support compliance activities using tools such as SCAPDocument system configurations, procedures, and changes in accordance with policies and requirementsCollaborate effectively with team members, security personnel, and end usersProvide technical support and respond to operational issues through resolutionParticipate in continuous improvement, automation, and modernization effortsPerform other duties as assignedRequirements3+ years of professional experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Microsoft systemsExperience in:Installation and configuration of servers and workstationsSystem security, hardening, auditing, and backup strategiesPatch and package managementVirtualization technologiesHardware and software troubleshootingNetworking in heterogeneous (Linux/Windows) environmentsStrong oral and written communication skillsDetail orientedProven ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to own issues through resolutionAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearanceCandidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical fieldExperience with:Dell servers, switches, and SAN solutionsVMware vSphere and vCenterDISA SCAP Compliance Checker and DISA STIG implementationRHEL 7/8/9Amazon Web Services (AWS)NAS and/or SAN configuration and maintenanceAutomation and scripting (Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell)Configuration management tools (Ansible or similar)Git/GitLab and CI/CD pipelinesContainers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Database maintenance or basic web application supportRelevant certifications such as:Security+RHCSA / RHCEMicrosoft certificationsBenefits4% Safe Harbor 401(k) match100% company paid HSA Medical insurance, with a choice of 2 buy-up options80% company paid Dental insurance100% company paid Vision insurance100% company paid Life insurance100% company paid Long-term Disability insuranceShort-term Disability insuranceAnnual Profit-Sharing PlanDiscretionary Performance BonusPaid Parental LeaveGenerous Paid Time Off, including Holiday, Vacation, and Sick PayFlexible work hoursThe pay range for this position is $95,000 - $117,000 / year.
