DescriptionJob Description: CookTime commitment: 30-40 hours per weekSchedule: Friday-SundayReports to: Kitchen DirectorStatus: Full-Time, Salary, Non-Exempt, At-Will EmployeeThe Telos cook provides well-balanced, healthy meals as directed by the dietician and the nursingdirector. The weekend cook is responsible to provide satisfying, healthy meals for up to 100 studentsand staff members.Duties And ResponsibilitiesAdheres to safe-food handling and storage proceduresProvides special dietary needs as ordered by the MD, dietician, and nursing directorOffers students a variety and adequate amount of food to meet their dietary needsServes meals in a timely manner adhering to the Telos scheduleHelps to prepare extra-large meals for Family Days—five times per yearAbility to maintain a clean work environmentCompletes other assignments as given by supervisorRequirementsQualifications:Organized, Dependable, Coachable, ProactiveKnowledge of basic nutritionMust complete Direct Care TrainingCurrent food-handler’s permitAbility to create and prepare weekly mealsAbility to hold appropriate boundariesReliable and dependablePass a criminal background checkLive the mission of TelosClean language and behavior
