Java Backend Developer

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and modern cloud-native technologies. You will work closely with architects, product managers, and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and microservices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.Develop high-performance, secure, and reliable distributed systems.Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices.Design and maintain database schemas, queries, and integrations.Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.Implement CI/CD pipelines and support cloud deployments.Ensure application security, scalability, and maintainability.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.7+ years of professional backend development experience.Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8/11/17+).Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Hibernate/JPA.Experience developing REST APIs and Microservices.Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns.Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.Experience with Git and version control best practices.Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
