Scrum Master
Job Title: Scrum Master (Contract) Location: Denver, CO (Onsite – 4 days/week) Type: Contract Industry: Firmware Development / DevTestAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Scrum Master to support our firmware development and dev/test teams in the Denver area. This contract position requires working onsite four days per week and involves managing Agile ceremonies, maintaining Jira and Confluence systems, and serving as a servant leader to foster continuous improvement within the team.As a Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in helping cross-functional teams deliver high-value features that meet evolving customer needs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in Agile methodologies and traditional project management.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, maintain, and manage Scrum boards.Create and manage Jira tickets and maintain related Confluence pages.Facilitate Agile ceremonies including:Daily stand-upsBacklog refinement sessionsSprint planning, reviews, and retrospectivesProvide ongoing project status reporting to stakeholders.Collaborate with product owners to ensure clear requirements and prioritize backlog items.Track team progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to stay on track.Serve the team and product owner by translating requirements into actionable tasks.Author user stories and define acceptance criteria.Support the team in adhering to Scrum/Agile best practices.Monitor and manage project scope, schedule, resourcing, and financials.Encourage quality assurance and help mitigate technical debt by scheduling time for defect remediation and refactoring.Identify and remove impediments that block team progress.Foster team collaboration and resolve internal conflicts.Minimize external distractions to ensure team focus and productivity.Participate in testing efforts where appropriate.Requirements3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in a firmware or embedded systems environment.Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile frameworks, and SDLC.Experience using Jira and Confluence for Agile project tracking and documentation.Exceptional facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.Ability to work independently and drive Agile discipline across cross-functional teams.Familiarity with traditional project management responsibilities (scope, resourcing, reporting, risk/issue management).Preferred QualificationsCertified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.Experience working in hardware/firmware development or embedded software environments.Background in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and participating in QA/testing efforts
