Area Director of Sales

Area Director Of SalesGeneral Hotels Corporation is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Area Director of Sales. This position will focus on developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize hotel revenue and profitability at our Southern Indiana properties. The Area Director of Sales will be responsible for achieving targeted revenue goals, executing sales strategies, and conducting site inspections at three properties located in Vincennes and Jasper, Indiana and Shelbyville, Kentucky. The position is a hybrid position. The ideal candidate should have proactive hotel sales experience and the ability to effectively close.Duties and Responsibilities:Achieving or exceeding individual sales goals and hotel budgetsDeveloping and implementing effective sales strategies to maximize revenue generationCreating and executing Monthly/Quarterly Strategic PlanManaging lead sources to ensure quantity and quality of leadsSeeking new customers through strategic and proactive outbound sales efforts for group, extended stay group and transient room revenueConducting sales calls to key accounts or major prospectsDeveloping and maintaining good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups and companiesHandling client site inspectionsNegotiating contracts and CRM activitiesMonitoring sales activities/performance to ensure revenue goals meet or exceed established plan.
