Summary: Responsible for serving food items in the main dining room as well as in private dining rooms and handling currency transactions by performing the following duties. Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
Greet and serve customers in a professional and timely manner.
Complete all assigned opening and closing side work to prepare the dining room, kitchen, and service stations for efficient operation during meal periods.
Prepare non-alcoholic and other beverages for guests.
Prepare all condiments to garnish drink orders.
Take food orders and enter them into the computer system.
Apply knowledge of the full menu, daily specials, beverages, and other restaurant information such as hours, payment types, and marketing/up-selling strategies.
Check and maintain stock of glassware, china, and flatware, and communicate shortages to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a clean server station at all times by wiping chairs, table bases, tabletop, carpet, and setting the table appropriately.
Assist with answering the telephone and taking messages for proper personnel when time permits.
Record currency transactions accurately on the computer and tender proper change.
Process charge transactions through the charge transmittal machine, print, review, and submit a daily server report to the manager.
