Building Automation Systems Project Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Building Automation Systems Project Engineer to join our client's growing team in Nashville, TN. This role is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, programming, commissioning, and delivery of BAS projects for commercial and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of HVAC controls, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and engineer Building Automation System solutions for HVAC controls projectsDevelop control drawings, sequences of operation, points lists, and submittal packagesCoordinate with project managers, field technicians, contractors, and customers throughout project executionProgram and configure BAS platforms, controllers, and graphical user interfacesSupport project commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activitiesReview plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirementsAssist with scheduling, budgeting, and project documentationProvide technical support and training to customers and internal teamsEnsure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to customer satisfactionQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field preferred3+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems, HVAC controls, or related industryKnowledge of BAS platforms such as Johnson Controls, Siemens, Trane, Schneider Electric, Honeywell, or DistechUnderstanding of HVAC systems, control theory, and networking fundamentalsExperience with AutoCAD, Visio, or similar engineering software preferredStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and organizational abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
