Position Overview
We are seeking a highly sophisticated and operationally driven Bar Manager to lead a dynamic, high-volume bar program within a Michelin-caliber, hospitality-forward environment. This role is responsible for the full scope of bar operations, combining elevated beverage creativity with disciplined execution, financial performance, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of refined service, advanced cocktail development, and high-volume efficiency—while maintaining an unwavering commitment to guest experience, brand standards, and continuous innovation.
Beverage Program & Innovation
Design and execute a seasonal, Michelin-aligned cocktail program with a focus on craftsmanship, creativity, and consistency
Develop house-made ingredients (tonics, bitters, infusions) and oversee continuous menu evolution
Curate a best-in-class beer, wine, and spirits selection aligned with concept identity
Partner with culinary leadership to ensure cohesive and elevated food & beverage integration
Integrate seasonal and locally driven products into all aspects of the beverage program
Operations & Execution
Oversee all day-to-day bar operations in a high-volume environment with precision, urgency, and attention to detail
Maintain strict adherence to company standards related to service, presentation, cleanliness, and product quality
Ensure consistency in cocktail execution, pour standards, and overall guest experience
Manage bar infrastructure, equipment, and maintenance to ensure seamless operations
Support both on-site and off-site event execution to drive revenue and brand presence
Financial Performance & Controls
Own and manage beverage cost (COGs), labor, and overall department profitability
Ensure accurate recipe costing, POS integration, and inventory tracking within systems (including Adaco)
Oversee purchasing, vendor relationships, and inventory controls to align with budget targets
Maintain accountability for invoices, liquor control procedures, and financial transparency
Partner with the General Manager on forecasting, P&L management, and cost optimization strategies
Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing bar team, including bar leads and key supervisors
Establish a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Lead structured training programs focused on technique, product knowledge, and elevated service standards
Conduct regular performance reviews and ongoing coaching to drive individual and team growth
Ensure clear, consistent communication across the bar and broader leadership team
Guest Experience & Brand Standards
Champion a polished, anticipatory, and hospitality-driven guest experience at all touchpoints
Actively engage with guests to build relationships and gather feedback on quality and service
Uphold and evolve brand standards across service, aesthetics, and overall bar identity
Address guest and team concerns with professionalism, urgency, and thoughtful resolution
Compliance & Standards
Enforce strict adherence to all company policies, health and safety regulations, and sanitation standards
Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal liquor laws
Maintain proper handling, storage, and documentation of all beverage-related inventory
Additional Responsibilities
Support wine program management and staff education as needed
Assist in the development of promotional beverage offerings and specialty menus
Provide floor support during service to ensure seamless execution
Partner cross-functionally with operations, culinary, and senior leadership on company initiatives
Qualifications
3–5+ years of Bar Manager experience in upscale, high-volume, or Michelin-recognized environments
Strong expertise in cocktail technique, spirits, beer, and wine programs
Proven success managing high-volume operations with a focus on precision and profitability
Experience with inventory systems, cost control, and P&L accountability
Demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on team development and culture-building
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to perform under pressure
Passion for hospitality and delivering elevated guest experiences
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and handle repetitive physical tasks
