Yard Customer Service EmployeeClassification: Hourly based on ExperienceSupervised By: Store ManagementPrimary Responsibility: Provides outstanding customer service. Load and deliver lumber, building products, and other materials sold. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Quickly and efficiently load customer tickets and orders.Assist in load building for delivery of materials.Operation of forklift a plus.Put away stockClean and organize materials and work environment.Assist in daily store opening and closing proceduresAssist with deliveries as neededActively engage in increasing knowledge of industry, products, customers, operations tasksSeasonal assembly of furniture and grills.All other job-related activities assigned by SupervisorExperience/Skills:Outstanding customer service skillsComputer literacyKnowledge of building products and how they are sold. Detailed knowledge of specific product area is a plus (i.e. windows, doors, decking, framing material)Strong interpersonal and customer relations skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environmentStrong attention to detail and follow-throughBasic math and measurement skillsProficient with POS systems (building supply specific a plus) will trainMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentBuilding products knowledge and/or sales experienceAbility to handle and maneuver stock and deliveries weighing up to 100lbs.Ability to stand and be mobile for prolonged periodsWork Environment: Kellogg Supply Company is an independently owned and operated building supply company.
