A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend required with holidays as needed • Patient ratio of 6:1 across all shifts • Float required if needed across all Cone Health facilities • Minimum 2 years experience required, first time travelers accepted • BLS certification required, ACLS and NIHSS preferred • Must pass mandatory EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed) • EPIC charting system experience required • Previous Charge RN experience preferred • 24 hours of orientation provided • Care for observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, palliative/end of life/hospice patients, psychiatric observation, diabetes patients, and surgical patients • Work with patients age 18 and older who are physiologically and hemodynamically stable • Manage telemetry monitoring, central line blood draws, PICC line management, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, wound care, chest tubes, and various IV drips • Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences • Must complete compliance requirements by 12 noon EST Wednesday prior to start date • Local radius restriction of 50 miles - no locals accepted Facility: This major healthcare system operates multiple campuses providing comprehensive medical services to the community.
