The Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, invites applications for one tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall 2027. We seek candidates with expertise in Human-System Integration (including Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality), Human Factors and Ergonomics, Intelligent Systems, and Decision Sciences. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a broad range of industrial engineering courses (e.g., Human Factors Engineering, Operations Research, Facility Planning, Lean Manufacturing), develop new courses in human systems integration, and establish a strong, externally funded research program in their area(s) of expertise.A Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited university by the date of appointment is required. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence and student success, as well as strong oral and written communication skills.Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate expertise in human systems integration or in the application of Operations Research and computational methods to novel problems in this area.Minimum requirements include:* Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely aligned field.
