Data Architect

Role: Experienced Data Architect Location: Indianapolis (Hybrid, 2 to 3 days onsite) Overview: Need a Senior Data Architect with 8 to 10 years of experience to lead data architecture initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data strategies that align with our business goals. Expertise in Azure cloud services, data warehousing, and data governance is essential. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement data solutions using Azure Data Factory and Synapse Data Analytics. Develop scalable and efficient data processing pipelines using PySpark. Write complex SQL queries and optimize them for performance. Manage cloud resources and services, ensuring best practices in cloud computing. Foster a collaborative work environment and effectively use tools like GitHub Enterprise or Jira for project management. Oversee database management tasks, including backup, recovery, and maintenance. Apply data warehousing and data modeling/mapping concepts to improve data storage and retrieval. Develop and enforce data governance standards to maintain data integrity and compliance. Conduct performance tuning in Azure to enhance system efficiency and reduce costs. Architect and oversee the implementation of comprehensive data solutions on Azure. Lead data modeling and mapping efforts to ensure optimal data structure and flow. Utilize PySpark and SQL to build and optimize data processing frameworks. Guide the team in performance tuning and optimization within the Azure environment. Qualifications: A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a data architect role. Extensive experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Data Analytics, and related Azure services. Proficient in PySpark, SQL, and database management practices. Strong background in data warehousing concepts, data modeling/mapping, and data governance. Demonstrated ability to perform performance tuning in Azure. Proven leadership skills and experience in managing complex projects.
