Senior Engineering ManagerLocation: Valdosta, GA (On Site)Role OverviewWe are happy to be partnering with a client seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and scale multidisciplinary engineering teams across Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Tooling. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has a proven track record delivering complex engineering programs.You will be responsible for driving execution across the full product lifecycle, from concept through production, while building high-performing teams and establishing scalable processes.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementLead, mentor, and grow cross-functional engineering teamsFoster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and innovationPartner with leadership to define engineering strategy and organizational structureProduct & Program ExecutionOversee end-to-end development of complex systems and productsDrive execution across engineering programs, ensuring timelines, quality, and cost targets are metSupport transition from development to productionCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Product, Operations, Supply Chain, and other key stakeholdersEnsure alignment between engineering deliverables and business objectivesCollaborate with external partners and vendors as neededOperational ExcellenceImplement and scale Agile methodologies and engineering best practicesEstablish KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement processesOptimize workflows to increase speed, efficiency, and qualityManufacturing & ScalingOversee manufacturing engineering and tooling strategiesDrive design for manufacturability (DFM) and production readinessSupport scaling efforts from prototype through full productionMust-Have Qualifications7+ years of experienceComposites ExperienceMust have Recent Experience in one or more of the following industries: Marine/shipbuilding 5+ years of experience leading engineering teamsExperience managing Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Tooling functionsProven ability to operate effectively in a startup or high-growth environmentStrong experience with Agile development methodologiesTrack record of delivering complex, multidisciplinary engineering programsPreferred QualificationsExperience with complex hardware systems or integrated productsExperience in marine, maritime, or similar industries.Background in highly regulated or technical industriesExperience scaling products from concept to productionFamiliarity with cross-functional systems integration
