Job DescriptionResponsible for journey level buying for a wide range of merchandise or categories. Maintains a contracting officer code which binds AAFES through contractual obligations to a limit of $500,000 per contract. Collaborates with planner and replenisher/allocator to meet plan.Identifies and recommends new products and business opportunities. Negotiates product availability, specifications, distribution, delivery and price. May participate in tabloid and promotion planning process to support alignment of in store and online merchandise assortment.Manages vendor performance to maximize profitability and achieve financial objectives. Summarizes and communicates information to store operations.
