SummaryJob Summary (Network Architect X2 F5 Distributed Cloud, Remote) Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and operationalization of a cloud-based, global load balancing solution using F5 Distributed Cloud Services (F5XC) within AWS. Preserve and extend security controls such as WAF, TLS/mTLS, and policy enforcement across networks and APIs. Integrate load balancer and security solutions with critical enterprise platforms and tools, including AWS, CloudFront, API Gateway, Azure AD, CyberArk, CloudWatch, Splunk, and ServiceNow. Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies using Terraform for modular, reusable, and environment-separated deployments. Develop and maintain deployment artifacts, standards, and runbooks for both non-production and production environments. Lead and execute comprehensive testing strategies (functional, API routing, failover, security, performance/load) to ensure resilience and operational readiness. Support user acceptance testing (UAT), production cutover, and hypercare; deliver operational documentation and conduct knowledge transfers to engineering and operations teams. Lead architecture review sessions with enterprise and cybersecurity teams; prepare approval artifacts and address feedback. Drive the delivery of the solution as an enterprise-grade, reusable shared service rather than a one-off implementation. Provide strong technical leadership and stakeholder communication, ensuring high standards of documentation and governance throughout the engagement. Required: 10+ years in network architecture/cloud networking/application delivery. Hands-on expertise in F5 Distributed Cloud Services. Deep AWS networking and multi-region architecture experience. Experience with global and local load balancing, API traffic management, failover architectures, and resilient application delivery. Proficiency with TLS, mTLS, WAF, and security policy implementation. Hands-on experience with Terraform and reusable IaC designs. Integration experience with logging, monitoring, and ITSM tools. Strong documentation and consulting skills. Preferred: MuleSoft APIs and Private Spaces experience. F5XC in hybrid/multi-cloud setups. Familiarity with CloudFront, API Gateway, Splunk, CloudWatch, ServiceNow. Experience with Azure AD, CyberArk integrations. Prior involvement in architecture/cybersecurity review boards and enterprise shared services delivery.
