Travel RN - Med/Surg - Hospice/Palliative Care

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Hospice position in a home health setting, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a GA or compact RN license.Job Details• Home health and hospice setting serving an adult to geriatric patient population,• 7 on / 7 off rotation schedule,• Night shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (5x8-hour shifts),• Patient ratio of 1:10 with an average daily census of 100 and approximately 6 visits per day,• EMR systems used: HCHB and iPrescribe,• Every third weekend required,• On-call required approximately 2 days per month for backup weekend coverage and coverage when the on-call nurse is unavailable,• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed,• No alternate shift or schedule change requests permitted,Job Requirements• Active GA or compact RN license required,• Current BLS certification required,• Minimum 2 years of home health/hospice RN experience required,• Strong communication skills with patients, clinical staff, and medical directors required,• Ability to work independently and stay organized in a home health environment,Additional Information• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position,• Local candidates are accepted,• Scrub color: any,• RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment,• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them,• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day,• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are strongly preferred,• Candidates must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler,
