Senior Welder - 2nd Shift

NABRICO Marine Products is searching for a safety-oriented Senior Welder in our Ashland City, TN barge plant.NABRICO Marine Products, is part of NABRICO's Inland Barge Group, and is a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. NABRICO Marine Products manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. NABRICO Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, NABRICO Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.What You’ll DoFollow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)Proficiently perform flat (1F), horizontal (2F), vertical (3F), and overhead (4F) fillet welds, as well as vertical (3G), and overhead (4G) groove welds Inspect your own welds to make sure all Quality requirements are met.Follow all safety rules and practices.May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.Perform other duties as assigned.What You’ll NeedMinimum of 1 year FCAW (flux-core weld) experienceMust demonstrate ability to satisfactorily pass hand welding tests in vertical fillet (3F) and overhead fillet (4F) using FCAWMust demonstrate ability to satisfactorily pass vertical groove (3G) and overhead (4G) using FCAWAbility to understand and measure weld size requirementsAbility to understand weld size and quality acceptance requirements and criteriaMust be able to perform welding work while wearing all required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a filtering face piece and/or tight fitting respiratorMay require working above ground (15 ft or more)Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects; comfortable with heightsMay require working in narrow or confined work spaces for extended periods of timeMay require extensive kneeling, bending, walking and/or standing for long periods of timeWilling to work overtime, weekends and holidays as neededMust be available to work 2nd shift MRN144
