Performs corrective and preventive maintenance, focusing on maintaining desirable production and quality levels with maximum safety standards. Self-motivated, with the ability to complete assigned tasks with the minimal amount of supervision. Fluency in English is mandatory.Responsibilities Of The PositionTroubleshoot issues, perform immediate repairs, execute preventive maintenance on equipmentMaintain & Organize Shop Assemble & Install New Equipment & LinesMove equipment around per Engineering Requests Perform equipment changeovers and production line setupsSupport & assist Product Trials Suggest / Request Parts / Inventory PartsResolve Work Requests – M+ or Radio CallsPerform accurate & successful PM’s Read assigned Emails Write End of Shift Report Fill out M+ Personal Work Orders Receive Training & Help train other Mechanics & OperatorsRebuild and fabricate partsMaintain a clean and safe work areaCan read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service, research parts needed and generate parts request to ensure adequate inventoryPerforms mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machinesGenerate and complete work orders/inspections within the Maintenance Management Program (ManagerPlus)Maintain good attendance and work weekends when neededEnforce company rules regarding safety, discipline, cooperation, and teamwork. Comply with OSHA safety and GMP standardsPerform other duties as assigned by ManagementRequirementsKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on an on-call basis as neededValid driver’s license and insurability under the company’s insurance policyAbility to follow specifications and read electrical schematicsWelding, fabrication, and machining mill skills preferredElectrical trouble shooting experienceProgrammable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge preferredRequired to supply own toolsAverage math skills and proven ability to perform tasksAbility to read and interpret company documents. Ability to use tablet and emailAbility to learn the Maintenance Management Program used at cwAbility to communicate effectively on all levelsEducation And ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience required. Experience in the food /high-speed environment is a plusFood Safety ResponsibilitiesAttend all food safety training sessions (GMP, SQF, HACCP, Allergen, Food Facility Security, Preventing Foodborne Illness)Participate in company GMP walksEnforce company rules regarding food safety and monitoringWorking ConditionsOffice setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 – 80 degreesSome tasks may require working near localized thermal elements that can cause the perceived temperature to be higher until the task is completedCapable of complying with all Safety requirements including but not limited to Bump Cap/Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear, Hearing Protection and Disposable MasksPhysical RequirementsPhysical dexterity to perform installation and troubleshooting work with the facilities (interior and exterior) safely and efficiently. Abilities may include but are not limited to: Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate toolsBending at the waistKneeling, crouching, standing for extended periods of timeReaching above the head to store or retrieve materialsHearing and speaking to exchange informationSeeing to perform skilled work and read meters or gaugesLifting and carrying heavy equipment or materialsWorking in cramped spaces Use ladders, scaffolding, and/or a scissor lift while performing job dutiesSalary Description$19 - $40 / hour plus $1.00 shift differential
