Salary: $50,315.00 - $61,779.00 AnnuallyLocation : Gulf/Franklin CampusJob Type: Full-TimeJob Number: 202500125Division: Academic AffairsDepartment: NursingOpening Date: 04/30/2026FLSA: ExemptDescriptionPosition to start August 2026 Please upload transcriptsThe primary functions of this position are:This is a full-time 9 Month faculty position in the Practical Nursing and Certified Nursing Assistant programs at the Gulf Franklin Campus.Teach 15 hours of didactic coursework or 18-24 hours of combined credit/contact per semester per the college Manual of Policy. Teach in assigned didactic, clinical, lab and/or simulated labs.Design and implement the curriculum plan to meet requirements for the Practical Nursing program and the Certified Nursing Assistant program. This includes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of courses and program objectives. It also includes classroom, campus laboratory, clinical (hospital/direct patient care), and simulation education.Schedule office hours to be available to students per college policy.Examples of DutiesTeach assigned course load. Complete any relevant course responsibilities such as arriving to all assignments in timely manner, grading, posting grades & other assignments in timely manner.Directly supervise and evaluate students in the clinical, lab, and simulation settings which requires written and verbal evaluation based on performance and behavioral objectives.Maintain course Learning Activity Guide & syllabus as appropriate. Review student course evaluations and modify as appropriate.Organize, create, and maintain all course related data such as attendance records, grades, exams, and course evaluations, according to state and/or accreditation requirements.Maintain exam banks to be congruent with published learning objectives.Collaborate with Simulation Center/Remediation Coordinator to create, implement, and evaluate learning activities to align with course and program objectives.Demonstrate collaboration with clinical agencies regarding program objectives, updates to curriculum and policies.Orient and assist full-time and part-time faculty as needed.Serve on and participate in division, nursing, and one annual advisory board meeting as available.Participate in in-services, professional growth training, seminars and workshops and maintain current nursing license.Exhibit and uphold the professional nursing standards as defined by the American Nurses Association.Participate in the ongoing evaluation process for the Practical Nursing and Certified Nursing Assistant programs and provide data for Florida Board of Nursing annual reports as needed.Maintain computer competency which meets college and instructional needs, including the Microsoft Office Suite of products.Counsel, refer, remediate, tutor and utilize disciplinary processes as needed.Advisement Responsibilities:Counsel, advise, register or assist with registration for all health science students.Maintain student records for nursing student advisement.If indicated, assist in preparation of Admission Index with each admission cycle.Engage in self-evaluation activities and goal setting each academic year. OTHER DUTIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to be flexible in scheduling work hours including coverage demands. This position requires the ability to adapt to ongoing changes in nursing education and clinical practice. The ability to travel locally is required.Other duties assigned by the Coordinator of Nursing, Gulf Franklin Campus.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise and evaluate students in various classroom, clinical, simulation, and lab settings.QualificationsMinimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.Current Florida Registered Nursing License.Current Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider Certification.This position is sensitive requiring a background check.
