Retail Store Manager (New Store)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (Position Summary)B&P will be opening a store on May 23, 2026 w/ the support of corporate retail teamThe Retail Store Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional, brand-aligned retail and product experience that drives both direct-to-consumer (DTC) and commercial trade sales. This role blends hands-on retail leadership with a strategic sales and product focus, ensuring the store not only represents Business & Pleasure Co.’s brand aesthetic but also becomes a key driver of commercial growth and omnichannel engagement. Working closely with our Commercial Sales and Product Teams, this position bridges in-store retail execution with product storytelling, trade relationship building, and sales conversion optimization. The role is ideal for a business-minded leader who understands how product, environment, and customer engagement intersect to drive growth.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRetail Operations & Experience• Lead the setup and ongoing optimization of the Southampton store, ensuring the in-store experience reflects B&P’s design and product vision. • Implement high-standard retail processes, including visual merchandising, stock control, and POS system optimization. • Maintain brand consistency through product presentation, storytelling, and display innovation that aligns with new launches and seasonal campaigns.Product & Commercial Sales• Partner with the Retail Manager and Commercial Sales Teams to identify and promote high-performing SKUs, trade-focused products, and new collection launches. • Drive engagement with Interior Designers and Trade Clients, leveraging the store as both a showroom and sales hub. • Develop programs to grow trade partnerships, including in-store consultations, product education, and client events. • Utilize product feedback from in-store interactions to inform product development and merchandising suggestions.
