Since 2011, we have continued to employ the highest caliber of professionals whose success is attributed to the intelligence, dedication, and years of experience within many government organizations including the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).We have an immediately available opportunity for a Data Engineer (approximately 80% data engineer and 20% data scientist) supporting the Air Force Research Lab in Dayton, Ohio.***This is a remote position with quarterly travel to Ohio***ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with customer to define requirements and understand needsData mine large volumes of data developing filters, anomaly detectors, etc. as appropriateWrite queries on the database to collect informationPerform data ingest for use by R&D and product teamsAnalyze data for tends and patterns based on program requirementsParse data / apply syntax analysis to explore data formats, and structure data as necessary improving access for R&D and product teamsTranslate complex data into actionable insightsRequirementsBachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and at least 5 years of related experienceActive TS/SCI clearanceExperience in the construction, development, and maintenance of data architectureKnowledge of frameworks like Hadoop, MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Apache Spark, NoSQL or similar.Ability to transform large, unstructured data into usable structured data setsAbility to develop coding and apply data analysis tools to curated dataStrong analytical experience and problem-solving skillsCompile reports on the data and also provide some analysisAbility to communicate effectively with all program stakeholdersFlexibility to travel as necessary but at least quarterlyAbility to evolve skill set to meet evolving customer needs over the life of a programPreferred QualificationsMaster of Science in related field with 5-10 years of experienceExperience in both data engineer and data scientist rolesAI experience is a plus including experience with ML models, but not requiredEqual Employment Opportunity has been, and will continue to be, a fundamental principle at RBR-Technologies, where employment is based on personal capabilities and qualifications without discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any protected characteristic as established by law.
