Title Attorney
DescriptionThe Title Attorney is responsible for the review of title documents, handling of title curative issues, and communication with clients regarding title issues and curative process and updates.RequirementsIndependently review title examination documents for previously raised title issues to ensure clear title according to applicable title standardsSearch and review public records to cure title issues, inclusive of research of bank mergers, State Secretary of State Business Entity information, etc.Prepare summation of title issue and best avenue to cure and provide same to clientRequest fees for the curative measures taken, inclusive of Hourly billing if usedFiling title claims and working with title insurers and/or outside counselAssist in curative title actions as necessary, including, but not limited to, requesting and providing all documentation requested by the insurerExperience and familiarity with title requirements of HUD, FNMA, FHLMC and the VAUnderstanding of the impact the title issue has on foreclosure process in each state through the Firm's footprintThe ability to clearly and concisely communicate with clients through their preferred system of record.Working knowledge of proprietary client systems (I.e. Tempo, LPS/Black Knight and PMAC) as well as email communication to provide client with status on curative measuresMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)Proven working experience as a Title AttorneyApplicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentationHighly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong writing and communication skills along with attention to detailExtensive computer and database expertiseLicense to practice law and in good standing in one or more of MTG legal footprint statesAbility to maintain confidentiality in a professional mannerSalary commensurate with experience.
