This role supports technical design efforts, preparation of calculation reports, and regulatory permitting, including NPDES approvals. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers while progressing toward Professional Engineer licensure.Responsibilities / Day-to-DayAssist with the design of commercial and industrial land development projects ranging from 1 to 100 acresPrepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and supporting documentation for project deliverablesSupport preparation and submission of NPDES permit applications and related stormwater management documentationDevelop grading, drainage, utility, erosion and sediment control, and site layout plansPerform stormwater management and hydrologic/hydraulic calculationsCoordinate with project managers, designers, and permitting agencies to support project progressParticipate in project meetings and assist with responding to municipal and regulatory review commentsConduct occasional field visits to support data collection, inspections, or project coordinationMaintain accurate project documentation and support timely delivery of design packagesQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering disciplineApproximately 2 years of experience supporting land development projectsExperience with NPDES permitting and erosion and sediment control designExperience preparing engineering calculations and technical reportsExperience supporting commercial or industrial land development projectsEngineer-in-Training (EIT/EI) certification requiredEligible to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure within approximately one yearFamiliarity with AutoCAD Civil 3DStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlinesPreferredExperience supporting commercial and industrial site development projects ranging from 1 to 100 acresFamiliarity with municipal permitting processes in PennsylvaniaExperience with stormwater management design and hydrologic modeling toolsExposure to multi-discipline project coordinationWhat We OfferCompetitive salary range based on experience and qualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) licensure bonus upon successful attainment of licensureEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), giving you ownership in the companyComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) retirement plan with company contributionGenerous paid time off and paid holidaysTuition reimbursement and support for professional licensure and continuing educationMentorship and structured professional development opportunitiesA collaborative, employee-owned culture where your work makes a meaningful impactEqual Opportunity & Accommodations StatementRETTEW is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
