Come Join our Team!Responsibilities:As a Kansas Central School Bus Driver, your major responsibilities will be to:Safely transport passengers in multiple types of vehicles, including those with manual and automatic transmissions.Drive a regular route as is a regular, spare or charter driver.Read and understand street signs, route sheets and maps.Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, including child checks.Assist students in the loading and unloading process.Cooperate and communicate with school personnel, parents and students.Attend all safety and training meetings.Conduct emergency evacuation from the bus, including exiting from the emergency door.Open and close service doors. Move up and down steps multiple times daily.Clean the inside of the bus including sweeping, dusting and cleaning windows.Cleans outside windows of the bus.Other specialized functions as required by contract.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Possess or can obtain CDL Operator's license with required endorsements.Must be at least 21 years of age.Must possess a valid driver's license for 3 years or longer.All driver applicants must pass a background check and drug test.Good verbal communication skills.Ability to work early morning hours.Must be able to work without direct supervision.Benefits:Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience)Free CDL Training No Experience Necessary! *No nights or weekends required*Time off during school holidays*Conditions apply see location for details.North America Central School Bus is an EEO/AA employer fully committed to achieving a diverse workforce.
