Duties Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address specific client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns, preferences, and treatment goals. Develop customized treatment plans based on client evaluations, physiology knowledge, and medical history. Educate clients on self-care practices, occupational health tips, and pain management strategies to enhance ongoing wellness. Maintain detailed records of each session, including patient progress and treatment outcomes, adhering to confidentiality standards. Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by following proper sanitation protocols and facility guidelines. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or medical personnel when necessary to support comprehensive patient care. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Massage and Bodywork Therapist or equivalent certification. Proven experience in patient service with excellent customer service skills. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Skilled in various massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy for effective pain management. Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and develop tailored treatment plans. Experience working in a med spa or occupational health setting is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate clients about their health and wellness options.
