Patient Registration Supervisor

Department: Patient Registration Schedule/Status: 8:00am - 5:00pm; Full Time Standard Hours/Week: 40 General Description: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Patient Access responsible to direct overall activities and personnel involved in patient registration. Handles patient problems, reports on dependent workload, communicates with physicians and their staff. Responsible for staffing, promoting, dismissing and disciplining Key Responsibilities: Supervises registrars and coordinates patient registration functions. Perform quality assurance on charts, charges and demographic data. Evaluates employees during their probationary and annually Trains new staff in patient registrations functions. Reviews and edits time sheets on all employees Assists the Business Office with problem charges and registration issues or concerns Assists in problem solving with patients, family or staff concerns * Document disciplinary actions taken on all employees * Interact with all other PMC department including the Emergency Department, Medical records, Business Office, Nursing and Finance.
