Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Augusta, ME

Responsibilities include: Delivering direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process throughout the patient stay Assessing patients from admission onward and administering IV medications, therapy, and blood transfusions as required Providing patient education tailored to individual needs Documenting nursing interventions, observations, and patient responses accurately and timely Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team in the emergency center to ensure optimal patient outcomes Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active RN licensure (candidates with prior licensure hits will not be considered) Minimum of 1 year critical care nursing experience and at least 1 year in a similar emergency nursing role Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Augusta, ME; previous employees of the facility are not eligible Ability to navigate and adapt to a high-acuity patient care environment effectively Additional Details: Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract period Local travelers receive a reduced hourly rate compared to those who reside farther away This contract role offers a unique chance to enhance your emergency nursing expertise while working within a supportive team focused on delivering exceptional patient care.
