Tool & Die Maker - Maintenance

Please note, all applicants must be US Citizens or Green Card holders - NO OPT OR SPONSORSHIPAre you a Tool & Die Maker with strong die maintenance and stamping press experience looking to join a stable and growing manufacturing business?We're seeking a hands-on professional to maintain, repair, and improve progressive dies supporting high-volume metal stamping operations. You'll work to tight tolerances, drive uptime, and take ownership of die performance on the shop floor.Ready to take control of die health and keep production running?Key Responsibilities• Maintain and repair progressive dies and tooling to print specification • Sharpen, shim, and heat treat cutting tools to required tolerances • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (TRT) and complete first/last piece checks to SOP • Diagnose die failures, identify root cause, and implement corrective action • Support press set-ups including die installation, accessories, and safety equipment • Machine tool & die components, jigs, fixtures, and gages to tight tolerances (.0002"-.001") • Build, modify, and improve dies to reduce downtime and increase efficiencyQualifications & Skills• Completed Tool & Die Apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience • 2-3+ years' experience as a Tool & Die Maker in a stamping environment • Strong manual machining capability - Lathe, Mill, Surface Grinder, Cylindrical Grinder • Ability to hold tolerances to .0002" and interpret blueprints with GD&T • Experience with heat treat, tool steels, EDM prep, and die maintenance techniques • Knowledge of QMS standards (QS9000 / TS16949) and inspection processes • Confident troubleshooting single and multi-station stamping operations • Forklift/Crane certification and Lockout/Tagout authorization preferred Keywords: Tool & Die Maker, Tool Maker, Die Maintenance, Progressive Dies, Metal Stamping, Surface Grinder, Cylindrical Grinder, Manual Machining, GD&T, Heat Treat, Wire EDM,, Stamping, ToolmakerYork, Hanover, Lancaster, Harrisburg,
