We are committed to creating a workplace where both clients and staff feel supported, empowered, and celebrated.Position Summary:Bright Path is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychotherapist to join our adolescent PHP and IOP programs in Hillsborough. This role supports teens experiencing emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges, including self-injurious behaviors (SIB), suicidal ideation (SI), mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related concerns, and other behavioral health needs.The Psychotherapist will provide individual and group therapy services while collaborating closely with caregivers, Care Coordinators, psychiatric providers, and the interdisciplinary treatment team to promote stabilization, skill development, safety, and continuity of care.This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, structured, and trauma-informed treatment environment while supporting adolescents through higher levels of care.Clinician caseloads are intentionally small. You will collaborate daily with an integrated team that includes our psychiatric provider, family therapist, group therapist peers, teen care advocates, and an aftercare coordinator. Even though this is a higher level of care (IOP), our comprehensive team works together on each case — so clinicians are supported and never carry overwhelming caseloads.Responsibilities:• Provide individual and group therapy services for adolescents participating in PHP and IOP services • Facilitate psychoeducational, process-oriented, and skills-based therapeutic groups utilizing evidence-based approaches • Conduct ongoing risk assessments related to suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviors, and other safety concerns • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and safety plans in collaboration with clients, caregivers, and the treatment team • Utilize evidence-based interventions including DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed practices • Collaborate closely with Care Coordinators regarding attendance, clinical updates, discharge planning, and continuity of care • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, clinical staffing, and consultations • Support discharge planning and referrals to outpatient and community resources • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA, CARF, and organizational standards • Participate in Bright Path’s clinical on-call rotation and assist with crisis response support as assignedQualifications:Required:• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field • Active North Carolina licensure or provisional licensure required (LCSW/LCSWA, LCMHC/LCMHCA, LMFT/LMFTA, or equivalent) • Strong communication, organization, and clinical documentation skills • Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team • Commitment to trauma-informed, strengths-based, and family-centered carePreferred:• Experience providing therapy services to adolescents • Experience in PHP, IOP, residential, crisis stabilization, or higher levels of care • Experience facilitating therapeutic groups • Experience conducting risk assessments and safety planning • Experience utilizing DBT, CBT, or trauma-informed interventions • CPR/First Aid certification preferredWhat Sets Bright Path Apart:At Bright Path, we lead with heart.
