With 1,400+ employees, 50+ clinic locations, and 110+ providers, we deliver world-class eye care across all subspecialties.We promote from within and offer competitive benefits, generous PTO, and a collaborative team culture.The OpportunityWe’re seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Scribe 2 with advanced coding knowledge to support our providers and enhance the patient experience.In this role, you will document real-time patient encounters, support clinical flow, and perform ophthalmic testing. You are cross-trained across specialties and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare exam rooms and EMR charts per physician preferencesAccurately document patient-provider interactions in real timeEnter diagnoses, prescriptions, testing, and medication ordersPerform ophthalmic testing and procedures, including:Visual acuity & auto-refractionTonometryPupils & dilationOCT, VF, HRT, B-scanPachymetry, corneal topography, keratometryAdminister eye drops/ointmentsAudit charts for accuracy and complianceEducate patients on procedures, medications, and follow-up careProvide exceptional, white-glove patient service What You’ll Need2+ years of medical/ophthalmic scribing experienceAdvanced knowledge of medical codingCross-training across ophthalmology specialties preferredStrong EMR documentation skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to stay calm and organized in a busy clinicKnowledge of ocular pharmacology (anesthetics, steroids, antibiotics, mydriatics, cycloplegics, etc.) is a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.Why Join Us?Growth-focused organization that promotes from withinMedical, dental, and vision benefits401(k) with matchGenerous PTOCollaborative, patient-first cultureEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace and provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals.
