Inventory Specialist
Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Inventory Specialist to join our team in Blanchester, OH. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting material flow, and ensuring system integrity within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with technology, experienced with ERP systems, and capable of safely operating a narrow aisle forklift.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and system updatesTrack, receive, store, and issue materials in accordance with company proceduresUtilize ERP systems (Mapex transitioning to SAP) for inventory transactions and reportingOperate a narrow aisle forklift to move materials safely and efficientlyInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepanciesSupport production and warehouse teams with material needsEnsure proper labeling, storage, and organization of inventoryFollow all safety guidelines and company policiesQualificationsPrevious experience in inventory control, warehouse, or manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with ERP systems (experience with Mapex and/or SAP preferred)Comfortable using computers, scanners, and inventory softwareExperience operating a narrow aisle forklift (certification preferred)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced settingPreferred SkillsExperience in automotive or manufacturing industryStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
