BIM Modeler

Job DescriptionWe are actively seeking a motivated CAD Operator (Entry-Level) to support a growing portfolio of construction projects. This role is ideal for individuals early in their careers who are looking to develop their skills in CAD and BIM while contributing to real-world construction projects. The right candidate will assist in developing drawings, coordinating models, and supporting project teams throughout the construction lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong backlog, supportive leadership, and long-term career growth.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with project management and field teams to support project executionDevelop 2D installation and detail drawings from 3D models or sketchesCreate electrical floor plans, elevations, and one-line riser diagramsAssist in building and coordinating 3D models with internal teams and external partnersParticipate in site surveys and incorporate field data into drawings and modelsSupport spool drawing creation and coordination with prefabrication effortsAttend weekly project meetings and provide updates on BIM progress and coordination tasksWork with BIM leadership to support strategy and execution across multiple projectsQualifications0-3 years of experience in the electrical construction or drafting industryBasic proficiency in CAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with Revit and Navisworks preferredExposure to tools such as Leica, Matterport, or Trimble is a plusBasic understanding of electrical systems, including clearances and code requirementsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and project specificationsWillingness to learn and apply industry codes and standards in modelingStrong attention to detail and ability to follow directionEffective communication and teamwork skillsPreferred QualificationsAssociate's degree in drafting or a related fieldInternship or coursework related to CAD/BIM or construction technologyCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $60K - $80K (Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors)Performance bonusesStrong benefits packageStable project backlogCareer advancement opportunitiesApply / ContactFor confidential consideration, contact Lee Stevicks directly at (605) 705-3635 or send resumes to lee.stevicks@gogpac.com
