In this role, you will collaborate with chapter leads and leads of NAMR, general managers, and the wider staffing team assigning talent to sold work and new business efforts. You will provide strategic staffing recommendations based on understanding of talent skill sets, teaming insights, and commercial priorities.You will have a pulse on how employees are deployed to projects and use that knowledge to optimize solving resource requests for forecasted projects.Key responsibilities include:Responsible for optimizing deployment of BCG X resources to meet the needs of our business while ensuring each person receives opportunities supporting their Career Development objectives and long-term professional goalsMaintain an acute awareness of the business environment and priorities; understand objectives of client/cases and openly communicate information relative to project opportunities with individuals while engaging with senior stakeholders and team leadership on staff portfolioBe the go-to person and build strong relationships with BCG X talent to understand developmental needs and preferences for staffing; discuss upcoming projects; advise on staffing choices to achieve balance between business needs and personal preferences when possible; communicate staffing decisions and related rationale; set and enforce staffing policies and expectationsHandle staffing process end-to-end and collaborate with a team of other staffers discussing decisions and finding overarching the best solutionCreate visibility on current/planned resource allocation, considering diversity implications when staffing projects and teams holistically; ensuring fairness and equity with lens on people with different backgrounds and experiencesEnsure relevant tools and trackers are maintained providing visibility of people commitments such project assignments, training and time off requests. Participate in the ongoing improvement of our staffing processes and systemsCollaboration with People & Development, Finance and BCG X HR TeamWhen required participate and provide inputs into Career Development Committee (CDC) meetings and reinforce CD messages through staffing and development discussions to support individual and chapter developmentProvide input to BCG X HR and relevant stakeholders on employee matters when requiredCollaborate with Finance and ensure that financial approvals are considered and cooperate with finance in ensuring correct financial allocation of assigned resourcesWork with Global and Line of Business People & Development stakeholders to provide career support and guidance around mobility programs including alignment with key stakeholders prior to approving mobility or other employee programs.Provide input to rest of staffing and HR team to maintain up to date accurate information on staff including project assignments, training, recruiting and time offYou're good at:Performing successfully in a fast-paced, global, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment, keeping with BCG's values and cultureHaving excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with all organizational levels inside and outside BCG through establishing positive and productive working relationshipsHaving strong communication skills; able to communicate with confidenceBeing a proactive problem solver, ability to influence multiple stakeholders in a new point of view and be simultaneously flexible with adjusting own perspective considering new information or constraintsHaving high integrity, tact, a positive attitude, and an ability to maintain absolute confidentialityBeing comfortable resolving conflict, delivering difficult messages and addressing all people related issues; excellent judgment and knows when to escalateBeing an active team player, autonomous, able to manage ambiguity and self-motivatedWhat You'll Bring3+ years' experience in professional services and / or technology services environment, preferably in a staffing, workforce planning, people, or recruiting functionsBachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent years of relevant work experienceStrong PowerPoint and Excel skillsWho You'll Work WithYou will work in NAMR BCG X Staffing Team and will collaborate with local BCG staffing and finance team to monitor billability, timesheet accuracy and work closely with the HR and Recruiting teams on talent strategies. Your recruiting contact can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.This is an estimated range, however, specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range.
