We are dedicated to helping businesses achieve their financial objectives through expert guidance in financial reporting, analysis, strategic planning, and operational accounting, each engagement tailored to the distinct needs of our clients.Role SummaryWe are seeking an accomplished Director to join our Phoenix consulting team in a leadership role, focused on client delivery and expansion, new pursuits and proposals, and consultant development. The ideal candidate brings a strong consulting or advisory background, deep finance and accounting expertise, and the executive presence to lead difficult conversations with confidence. This Director will manage a portfolio of client relationships, mentor and develop a team of consultants, and play an active role in scoping new engagements and supporting business development.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a portfolio of client engagements, serving as the primary relationship owner for assigned accountsScope new client projects and develop engagement economics, staffing plans, and proposalsMentor and develop the Phoenix consulting team, acting as a day-to-day leader and coachReview consultant deliverables and maintain high standards of quality across all client workBalance time approximately 50/50 between billable client work, non-billable development work including sales pursuits, and internal team leadershipProvide consulting services for clients, including accounting functions, reporting, forecasting, and planning activitiesPartner with senior leadership to drive market growth, team performance, and operational excellenceBuild and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, including CEOs, board members, private equity sponsors, and investorsSupport business development and sales efforts, including proposal development and participation in client pursuitsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field required10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibility5+ years in a consulting, advisory, or outsourced finance capacityProven ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously while executing against project timelines and deliverablesExceptional communication skills, able to navigate difficult conversations, influence senior stakeholders, and present complex financial matters clearlyExperience developing proposals and supporting business development or client acquisition effortsPreferred QualificationsCPA (active or inactive) and/or MBA designation strongly preferredExperience in business origination, networking, or client developmentCorporate or operational accounting background with strong technical accounting skillsProject accounting or cost accounting experienceFamiliarity with multiple ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Dynamics)Compensation & BenefitsNOW CFO offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Competitive SalaryHealth, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement savings plan with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development and continuing education supportFlexible/hybrid work arrangements to support work-life balanceInternal mobility opportunities within a PE-backed, nationally growing firmNOW CFO's Phoenix office is a collaborative, respect-first environment operating in one of the fastest-growing markets in the country.
