Sr. Paralegal
MWH Constructors, Inc., a global leader in heavy civil construction of water and wastewater facilities, is seeking a Sr. Corporate Paralegal to join our Legal Department in Broomfield, Colorado. Under the supervision of the Associate General Counsel, the Paralegal will perform general legal department activities and responsibilities related to corporate governance, licensing, claims, insurance, and risk management.Essential FunctionsSupport the Legal Department processes and corporate compliance.Support routine and complex corporate governance across all parent and subsidiary entities, including maintaining entity records and assisting with regulatory filingsOversee and maintain licenses for the company, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as coordinating with internal stakeholders to determine necessary licensure and identify responsible individuals or qualifiers.Corporate filings, licensing, and registrations: file, manage and maintain timely and accurate corporate registrations, renewals, and qualifications and support Legal team on corporate governance and filings.Review, process, and maintain legal files, department records, and department processes.Work with attorneys and department paraprofessionals, and corporate management, engineers, and administration as required.Other miscellaneous duties to support project teams.Performs other related duties as required and assigned, including contract administration, insurance program support, claims support, and assigned corporate matters.Basic QualificationsBringing 8+ years of experience with a broad knowledge of contracting, corporate, and law office management.Four-year degree in legal studies, business administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of experience, skills, and training.Experience handling corporate licensure for engineering or similar professional service providers preferred.Notary public preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Docusign.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Flexibility with tasks assigned.Proactive in finding cost effective and efficiency in process solutions.Willingness to learn.Strong time management skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Preferred QualificationsInhouse experience with a construction contractor.Experience with insurance, licensing, bonding, annual business filings, contracts a plus.BenefitsGroup health & welfare benefits including options for medical, dental and vision100% Company Paid Benefits: Employee Life Insurance & Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), Spouse and Dependent Life & AD&D, Short Term Disability (STD), Long Term Disability (LTD), Employee Assistance Program and Health AdvocateVoluntary benefits at discounted group rates for accidents, critical illness, and hospital indemnityFlexible Time Off Program (includes vacation and personal time)Paid Sick and Safe LeavePaid Parental Leave Program10 Paid Holidays401(k) Plan (company matching contributions up to 4%).Employee Referral ProgramCompensationThe anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $135,000/yr., based on experience.MWH Constructors is a global project delivery company in heavy civil construction with a focus on water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
