Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Follow up with pipeline of leads by meeting Customer's key stakeholders to present business proposals
Work with Engineering team to arrange site visits at the Customer's site to derive the EPC costs required for the project. Relevant technical training on solar PV system will be provided
Use the Financial Model to derive the commercial offer to the customer. Review Financial Model assumptions and be able to provide justifications for each parameter
Prepare proposal to Customer and provide the necessary technical details
PPA review and negotiations with Customer, and seeking inputs from Market Functions (Legal, Risk, Finance etc) whenever required
Diligently use CRM as the key platform to capture all customer details, process governance and maintain customer relationships
Close PPA contracts with the Customer after seeking necessary endorsements from respective functional leads (Engineering, Finance, Risk and Legal)
Manage assigned key accounts during project execution and operational phase
Lead and coordinate the submission of bids for any large-scale Government Tenders
Prepare investment papers and work with Group Functions (from Finance, Risk, HSSE, HR, Legal, Procurement & Group Asset Performance) to seek project approval from the Investment Committee
Work in a team within Business Development as well as cross-departments to develop new solutions, optimize processes, or work in other special projects/ assignments
Able to travel up to 30-40% of the time where necessary to explore any potential regional opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Business Development/ Commercial related roles, preferably in the energy/ renewables sector
Good understanding of Power market in Singapore, as well as the risks and value drivers in solar PV projects
Demonstrated ability in successfully working with cross-functional teams including technical groups, finance/ accounting functions, and project development
Skills/ Competencies & Preferred Characteristics:
Commercial focus, results oriented with excellent communications skills
Good understanding and able to work with financial models.
Creative, persistent and able to manage customer relationships, with a keen eye for details
Proactive, positive and self-motivated with ability to work without close supervision
Effective in communication and have a good understanding in Power Purchase Agreements.
