Teacher - Learning Lab Program

The Uxbridge Public Schools is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to students with intellectual impairments (II). The successful candidate will foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Essential responsibilities for this position include:Deliver individualized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals.Adapt general education curriculum to meet the needs of students with intellectual impairments.Develop and implement lesson plans using evidence-based practices.Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide inclusive educational experiences.Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate documentation.Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences.Support students in developing life skills, functional academics, and appropriate behavior.Create a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment.
