ControllerOur non-profit client is seeking a Controller for their team. This full-time, direct-hire role is perfect for a detail-oriented accountant who would enjoy managing the full accounting cycle for a small, mission-driven organization.Responsibilities of the ControllerManage a small team (2-3) of accounting professionalsPerform monthly close for multiple entitiesOversee AP, AR, and cash management activitiesMaintain accurate, compliant financial recordsPrepare financial statements and supporting schedules for review by CFOPerform property-level accounting functions for affordable housing entitiesCoordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax preparers as neededPerform additional accounting and finance-related duties to support the organizationQualifications of the ControllerBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for full cycle accounting and month-end closeStrong working knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principlesExperience in affordable housing, LIHTC, or multi-entity real estate accounting preferredExperience with Yardi, Sage 50, or related software preferredFamiliarity with VT and/or NH regulatory environments a plusStrong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skillsHigh degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detailStrong analytical and reconciliation skillsPlease share your resume in confidence for this Controller opportunity offering the potential for a hybrid schedule, comprehensive benefits, and salary based on experience, ranging from $80K-$95K/year.
