Speech Language Pathologist Part Time JobID: 320Position Type:Student Support Services/Speech / Language SpecialistDate Posted:4/29/2026Location:DistrictDate Available:09/01/2026Closing Date:05/12/2026Additional Information: Show/HideSpeech-Language Pathologist Part - TimeCedar Grove Public School 2026-2027 school yearQualifications:* Valid New Jersey Department of Education Speech-Language Specialist CertificationJob Description:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in supporting students' communication and language development within a public school setting.The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders to enhance students' academic success and social participation.Key Responsibilities:* Conduct speech and language evaluations for students referred through the IEP process.* Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that address students' communication needs.* Provide direct therapy services for speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication disorders.* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate strategies into the classroom.* Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy goals as necessary.* Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multi-disciplinary team discussions.* Support students with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices when necessary.* Ensure compliance with IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act), NJDOE regulations, and district policies.Skills & Competencies:* Expertise in speech and language assessment and intervention.* Strong understanding of articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, language development, and social communication.* Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and students.* Ability to document services and progress accurately and efficiently.* Knowledge of assistive technology and augmentative communication methods.* Strong organizational skills and time management.
