Conduit Assembler

Job Description Conduit Assembler is responsible for assembling and fabricating conduits used in electrical systems. They follow blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to cut, bend, and assemble conduit parts. They use hand and power tools to measure, cut, and thread conduits, and then connect and secure them using various fittings and fasteners. Conduit Assemblers may also be responsible for testing and inspecting completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and electrical codes. They work in manufacturing settings, collaborating with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.ResponsibilitiesPerforms standard conduit bends and offsetsProperly installs conduit & devices (interior & exterior)Accurately lays out, modifies, & installs wireway/cable tray per designProperly installs lighting, pipe lighting, & fixtures (interior & exterior)Demonstrates knowledge of conduit types, sizes, & fittingsProperly & safely uses & maintains tools (band saw, threader, knockout)Reads & uses tape measure/other measuring toolsDemonstrates ability to work from standard conduit scheduleWiring (i.e. anchoring, tie-wrapping, routing, flagging, and wire tagging)CrimpingWire/Cable strippingAdhere to all manufacturing policies and practicesEnsure quality by following standard work/process instructions and identifying any potential risks to product qualityEnsure that work areas remain clean and well organizedMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or General Education Diploma preferred.Successful candidate will typically have a minimum of 1 year of relevant wiring experience in a manufacturing environment.Must have previous conduit experience with both thick and thin wall conduit.Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal.Must have basic mathematical skills (i.e. fractions, conversions)Skills, Abilities & Other RequirementsBasic mechanical knowledgeFamiliar with common and job specific toolsAbility to read a tape measureAbility to read and interpret prints (e.g. specification sheets, wiring diagrams, schematics, three-line and part drawings)Ability to perform basic point-to-point wiringBenefits Powell offers comprehensive health insurance for you and your family, 401k savings, annual bonus potential, generous paid time off, professional development opportunities, company-sponsored wellness programs, and a collaborative work environment.EOE Protected Veterans/Disability#J-18808-Ljbffr
