Join our team and grow with us!Cooperworks Shipper/ReceiverThe Shipper/Receiver will prepare products for safe and effective shipment by wrapping, crating, and boxing the items as appropriate. They are also responsible for receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arrange for the distribution or incoming products to various departments.Duties/Responsibilities:Assembles boxes, skids, crates, or platforms used for shipping products.Plans and builds or assembles the most effective crating method for new or unusual items.Builds or otherwise prepares bracing and other support needed for safe transportation.Unload material/parts using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring loads are stacked properly to minimize scratches and/or damage. Label incoming products per department requirements.Complete all paperwork for receiving inbound goods and enter information into the receiving computer to ensure inventory is tracked and maintained.Keep records of all received goods and distribution locations.Manages and maintains lumber and crating materials inventory.Move material/parts to designated area.Completes requisition forms and reorders materials as necessary or designated.Repairs pallets and skids as time allows.Performs quality inspections on products prior to shipment. Rejects all non-conforming products.Matches work orders to shipping papers and completes any labels required for products.Cleans and prepares all products according to established work instructions prior to packaging.Packages all outbound products according to established work instructions and product specificationsReceives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers and purchasing per company policy.Completes information on damage claims for in-transit damage.Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Dependable and independent worker.Proficient with simple hand tools and power saw.Ability to follow directions and adhere to safety protocols.Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.Basic understanding of warehouse proceduresProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.Physical Requirements:Ability to move in a variety of ways including standing, squatting, stretching, and bending, as needed to build large crates and platforms.Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.Must be able to regularly lift 20-pound items.Benefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insuranceShort-term disabilityLong-term disabilityPaid time offPaid holidaysEmployee assistance program401(k)401(k) matchingStarting Salary: $18 - $20/hour or higher depending on experience.Equal Opportunity Employer
