CNC Programmer

Job Summary: The CNC Programmer is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC turning centers and Swiss style Screw Machines.Job Responsibilities:Setup, operate, and program CNC lathes and Swiss Screw MachinesInterpret complex drawings and machining symbols accurately.Troubleshoot and edit machine programs as needed for optimal efficiency.Maintain equipment by performing preventive maintenance tasks.Troubleshoot any machinery issues that may ariseManaging and supervising shop floor activities to meet production goalsMeasuring and positioning material in assigned machineUtilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, pin gages, etc. to ensure parts meet specifications.Identifying any tools, materials, and staff needed to complete the jobsEnsuring production is being run efficiently and cost effectivelyUpdate and implement any work documents such as dimensional sheets and job travelers, as neededAssisting with any development or researching of equipment/improvementsResolve any issues that may arise either with staffing, equipment, or productionMaking sure the products are being made on time and are passing quality inspectionsDocumenting any change or modifications according to company proceduresReport to Production Manager on a daily basis.Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining.Skills and Abilities:Proficiency in tooling, precision measuring instruments, and CNC programming.Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and time management skills.All job offers are contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment drug screening and background check.No recruiters, no phone calls.
