Our team members are the foundation of our success, and we pride ourselves on fostering a supportive, high-integrity work environment where people can grow and thrive./ph3Position Summary/h3pSafely assist drivers and other employees in the collection of solid waste materials from a residential truck/ph3Minimum Requirements/h3pEducation: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired but not required./pulliOne (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training desired but not required./liliValid state drivers license preferred but not required./liliMust pass criminal background check/li/ulh3Primary Duties And Responsibilities/h3pThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time./ppCollect solid waste/recyclable materials from customer premises and/or from the curbside if applicable./pulliLoad solid waste into the rear or side of waste collection vehicle/liliAssist driver in safe operation of the vehicle by directing the driver in backing up the vehicle and in close space maneuvering./liliOperate equipment on truck to compact trash/materials into vehicle/liliAudit waste collection vehicle for proper equipment prior to leaving branch (i.e., broom, shovel, etc.)./liliReport all customer related problems to driver immediately/liliIdentify, tag and notify driver of prohibited waste items and remove the items from the waste cart or can./liliFollow all safety and equipment checks and precautions in performance of all duties. Comply with all federal, state, local and company rules on safety and vehicle operation./li/ulh3Work Environment/h3pExposed to unpleasant sights and smells. The unavoidable, externally imposed conditions under which the work must be performed, and which create hardship including the frequency and duration of occurrence of physical demands, environmental conditions, demands on ones senses and mental demands./ph3Typical Physical Demands/h3ulliMust be able to stand, walk, bend, reach and lift in an outdoor environment 90% of the time./liliMust be able to use hands and fingers, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, climb and balance./liliVisual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus./liliAbility to manually lift/move up to 65 pounds regularly/liliAbility to manually push/move up to 100 pounds with assistance from another employee/li/ul/div
