Job Description Providing the best customer service to our guests is the first step in your career at Salata. Salata’s shift leads take great pride in coaching and leading team members in preparing and serving Salata’s fresh and healthy food. They consistently adhere to Salata’s high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, food preparation and storage, teamwork, and guest service. In addition to leading and modeling Salata processes and procedures, shift leads work along with and teach team members about the varied line stations such as greeter, veggies, fruits and cheeses, and dressings, protein, pre-toss, and toss. These individuals are experts in interacting with Salata guests directly, portioning product, and providing accurate nutritional information on each of our products to our guests. They consistently acknowledge their role and responsibility in providing a clean and enthusiastic environment to our guests. This requires constantly building and maintaining relationships with our regular and new customers. When they aren’t busy, shift leaders will be delegating team members to cleaning as they go to make our brand not only the best for food and service but for cleanliness. In addition to the previous job description and requirements, the following principal responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: Professional Ability to develop positive and professional working relationships with all team members and work as a team by helping as needed or requested Exhibit an enthusiastic and helpful attitude to our guests and team members Ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times according to Salata employee handbook Display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments and tasks. Willingness to learn nutritional information about all products offered Ability to communicate in the primary language(s) of the work location Follow Salata attendance punctuality guidelines * Leadership Skills Effectively lead the restaurant at any given time Monitor or lead training and development of new team members Delegate duties and tasks equally among team members and follow up with all team members for completion based on Salata standards Exhibit leadership skills that will motivate team members, resolve conflicts, and guide decision making Maintain a positive work environment for all employees Monitor food quality and temperatures throughout the day to maintain health and safety regulations Maintain Salata cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the store during shifts Guest Experience Welcomingly greet each guest equally with eye contact and a smile Willingness to build and maintain relationships with guests Assist guests with enthusiasm and eagerness when helping or serving them Consistently maintain appropriate portion control when serving Food Prep Consistently use Salata knife safety and handling skills while prepping food and cleaning knives Accurately use prep sheets and positional checklists on a daily basis of all positions Complete any cooking, prepping, line set-up, or cleaning assignment accurately, neatly, and within assigned time according to Salata processes and procedures Maintain proper food handling, safety, and cleaning and sanitation standards while preparing food Consistently follow Salata rotation, flipping, dating, and storing procedures for product Consistently clean food-prepping equipment thoroughly according to Salata’s sanitation guidelines. Physical Ability to reach, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Additional Requirements * Must have a current driver’s license within the state the location is established.
