Network Engineer - Remote

Network EngineerLocation: RemoteMode: Contract (6+ Months)Job Description:The ideal candidate will be a route/switch network engineer with Cisco IPSEC VPN experience using Cisco CLI. We need network engineers familiar with building IPSEC site-to-site VPN tunnels, via command line, and able to read and understand route tables. The candidate will also need to be able to troubleshoot complex routing situations. Along with these technical skills, this position also requires outstanding communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate will be dealing with multiple external 3rd party companies, negotiating VPN variables, coordinating, and scheduling the changes, and troubleshooting connectivity issues after deployment. Top requirements include: years of experience: 8+ years, configuration and troubleshooting of IPSEC site-to-site VPNs, ability to read, understand and troubleshoot complex routing issues, strong understanding of networking in a multi-data center environment, works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks, communicates effectively with leadership, peers, project managers, clients, and stakeholders, flexible work schedule with ability to make after hours changes, US based due to the support of government connectivity requirements.
