Structural Engineer

Responsibilities: - Design and analyze structural systems and components for various construction projects - Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications using software such as Mathcad, Civil 3D, and MicroStation - Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes - Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and provide recommendations for repairs or modifications - Perform structural analysis using finite element analysis (FEA) software to evaluate the behavior of structures under different loading conditions - Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality - Review and approve shop drawings and construction submittals - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Skills: - Strong proficiency in structural engineering principles and practices - Proficiency in software such as Mathcad, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and CAD for design and analysis purposes - Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to structural design - Experience with project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation - Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to clients, colleagues, and stakeholders - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions - Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team Please note that this is not an entry-level position.
