Senior Manager, Enterprise QualityLocation: Franklin, MA (Onsite)Employment Type: Direct Hire / PermanentSalary Range: $134,800 - $174,900Must be a US citizen or green card holder because this client deals with government contracts Position SummaryThe Senior Manager, Enterprise Quality is responsible for leading the Program Quality organization, ensuring quality performance aligns with business objectives, financial targets, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. This leader will establish the quality strategy, drive continuous improvement initiatives, develop high-performing teams, and serve as the senior quality representative across multiple programs and stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Leadership & StrategyEstablish and promote a strong quality culture across the organization.Develop and execute the Program Quality strategy to support business objectives and customer expectations.Define training strategies, organizational priorities, and quality performance goals.Create an environment that enables the Quality team to succeed and continuously improve.Drive proactive quality planning and risk mitigation throughout program execution.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop Program Quality Engineers, team leads, and quality professionals.Manage all personnel and HR-related activities, including:Performance evaluationsCareer development planningSuccession planningEmployee engagement and retentionDevelop staffing models aligned with:Program demandsSIOP forecastsBudgetary requirementsProgram Quality ManagementOwn quality performance across multiple programs and business initiatives.Lead and drive:Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction strategiesZero Defect Planning (ZDP)Systemic Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiativesEstablish program quality priorities that support Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC) objectives.Address quality issues through a data-driven, metrics-based approach.Financial & Operational ManagementManage quality department budgets, including labor and travel expenses.Provide quality-related input into:Annual Operating Plans (AOP)Forecasting activitiesProgram risk registersEnsure efficient allocation of quality resources across programs.Cross-Functional & Customer EngagementPartner closely with Program Management, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve systemic quality issues.Serve as the senior quality representative during:Customer interactionsExecutive leadership reviewsProgram and business reviewsDrive alignment between quality objectives and overall business performance.Governance & ComplianceEstablish and maintain standardized program quality operating rhythms, including:KPI dashboardsQuality Operating Reviews (QORs)Corrective Action Boards (CABs)Ensure compliance with:AS9100ISO 9001Internal Quality Management System (QMS) requirementsCustomer and contractual obligationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or another STEM-related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience;or 14+ years of aerospace quality and/or engineering experience in lieu of a degree.Experience leading quality performance across multiple programs.Demonstrated success in:People leadership and team developmentBudget managementCustomer-facing quality leadershipExperience serving as a Senior Leader, Technical Authority, or Quality Team Leader.Strong organizational leadership and strategic planning experience.Preferred QualificationsStrategic Program Quality oversight experience within aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environments.Strong understanding of financial metrics and business performance management.Proven cross-functional leadership experience.Experience interfacing with customers, executive leadership, and regulatory stakeholders.Experience establishing governance structures, operational reviews, and quality management processes.Industry ExperienceAerospace, Defense, Aviation, Space, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
