Security Officer

Security OfficerWe are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to oversee safety and security operations at an active construction site for the future site of Rockingham Grand Casino, with additional responsibilities supporting Chasers Poker Room operations- when needed. This role requires strong observational skills, integrity, and the ability to adapt between a construction environment and a customer-facing gaming floor.Construction Site Security Duties:Monitor and control access to the construction site, ensuring only authorized personnel enter.Conduct regular patrols of the site to prevent theft, vandalism, trespassing, or safety violations.Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, or suspicious activity.Enforce site safety rules and report unsafe conditions or behaviors.Coordinate with site management and local authorities when necessaryPoker Room Duties:Provide a visible security presence in the poker room to deter misconduct and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.Monitor player activity for disputes, cheating, or suspicious behavior.Assist in resolving conflicts between patrons professionally and calmly.Enforce the poker room policies, procedures, and gaming regulations.Escort cash, chips, and sensitive materials as required.Respond to incidents such as disorderly conduct, intoxication, or rule violations.Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining authority and professionalism.Once Rockingham Grand is open Duties can include similar duties.Required Skills and Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent attention to detail and observational skills in analyzing video footageProficiency in computer skills, including knowledge of video surveillance software, database management, and basic networking conceptsAbility to multitask and respond to telephone and radio trafficEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalentVocational or technical certifications in related fieldOne year of experience in surveillance, security, or related fieldMust obtain valid gaming license, where applicablePhysical Requirements & Working Conditions:The employee will be required to sit and remain stationary for extended periods of time.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.The employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.The employee may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and customer volume.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
