Our client (a world leading hedge fund) seeks an experienced hands-on Data Center Manager to oversee their multiple data sites in NY Metro Area (position is located in NJ).Responsibilities Oversee the operations and capacity of data centers Offer mentorship and guidance to technicians and other team members to foster their professional growth Construct, deploy, and resolve issues with servers, storage systems, network devices, and copper/fiber cabling Introduce improvements to procedures and protocols Coordinate daily tasks and workflows Aid in forecasting future site needs Manage vendor relationshipsRequirements A minimum of 8 years of expertise in overseeing data center operations and leading teams Proficiency in building, deploying, and troubleshooting servers, storage systems, network devices, and copper/fiber cabling Demonstrated aptitude in project management and successful delivery of projects Proven ability to effectively manage vendor relationships and drive positive outcomes Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
