Demand Planner (eCommerce & Cold Chain Supply Chain)Location: [ON-SITE] 860 E 238th St, Carson, CA 90745About Wooltari USAWooltari is the leading premium K-Food marketplace in the United States. With over 300+ brands and 1,000+ products ranging from regional Kimchi to premium meal kits, we are expanding our Wholesale (B2B) division to bring high-quality Korean ingredients to restaurants, retailers, and corporate partners across the nation.Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented Demand Planner to own demand forecasting, inventory planning, and cross-functional alignment across our eCommerce and retail channels.This role is critical in balancing in-stock availability, inventory health, and fulfillment cost efficiency—especially within a cold chain environment with long import lead times.You will work closely with Marketing, Merchandising (MD), SCM, and Operations to ensure demand signals are accurately translated into executable supply plans.This role requires someone who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with imperfect data and can make data-driven decisions with incomplete information. Key ResponsibilitiesDemand Forecasting & PlanningDevelop SKU-level demand forecasts using:Historical sales trends (30/60/90-day)Seasonality and promotional upliftAdjust forecasts for:Out-of-stock (OOS) periodsNew product launches and re-stocksContinuously refine forecast accuracy and identify biasInventory & Replenishment PlanningTranslate demand forecasts into:Purchase order (PO) recommendationsReplenishment and transfer plans (West ?? East)Ensure optimal inventory levels across:Refrigerated / Frozen / Ambient categoriesBalance:Service level (in-stock %)Inventory turns and working capitalPromotion & Demand AlignmentPartner with Marketing to evaluate upcoming promotions and campaignsModel expected demand uplift and inventory impactEnsure inventory is pre-positioned (especially East Coast) prior to launchIdentify and escalate risks such as:Cross-country fulfillment cost increasesStockouts during high-demand eventsCross-functional CollaborationWork closely with:SCM / Logistics ? lead times, inbound schedules, constraintsMD / Buying Team ? assortment planning, new SKUsMarketing ? promotion calendar and demand driversOperations ? fulfillment capacity and executionAct as the central point of truth for demand signalsData Analysis & ReportingMonitor and report on:Forecast accuracyIn-stock rates and fill ratesInventory health (excess, aging, shortfall)Identify root causes of variances and drive corrective actionsSolving & analyzing logistics dataContinuous ImprovementImprove demand planning processes and tools (e.g., automation, forecasting models)Reduce reliance on manual spreadsheets and enhance system-driven planningSupport development of scalable planning systems (e.g., Tari, BI tools)QualificationsRequiredBilingual: English & Korean3–7+ years in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, or Inventory PlanningExperience in Food & Beverage industriesStrong analytical skills with proficiency in:Excel / Google Sheets (advanced)Data toolsExperience working with forecasting concepts:Seasonality, trend analysis, promotion upliftStrong cross-functional communication skillsProven ability to make sound decisions with incomplete or imperfect dataPreferredExperience with perishable goods or cold chain supply chainsExperience with import or long lead-time supply chains (e.g., Asia ?
